City Museum

City Museum in St Louis with its dozens of slides, tunnels, and cages to crawl through makes for a great date night or night out with the kids. It has tons of games and activities to explore that will keep you going for hours. We spent about 6 hours there and didn't see even half of the hidden treasures inside and out. Check out City Museum in St Louis.

Music Festival Season

These are 3 ideas of great looks for the coming Music Festival Season.
I love a simple pair of jean shorts and a bright or vibrant top. Then, dress it up with all sorts of accessories. And if I was actually going, I'd probably have some sort of face and body paint going too!

Bright colors, flower crowns, accessories, head chains, body chains, etc. You name it, you'll see it at all sorts of festivals. So don't be shy! You'll see just about anything. For all you Ultra Music Festival and Coachella goers this year. I'm jealous! Have a great time and take tons of pics and videos!

Flower Crowns

Flower crowns are gorgeous accessories that are perfect for Music Festivals, spring or summer parties, or for those "just cause" days.

There's a lot of great YouTube videos and blog posts about DIY Flower Crowns. They're super easy and quick to make. And it all depends on what style you're interested in. Below are some of the sites I looked at before making mine.

"The Earth laughs in Flowers."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Supplies:
-Elastic Headband or plain regular headband
-Hot glue gun
-Fake or Fresh flowers (WITH leaves), can be bought at any craft store (Michael's)
Instructions:
-Depending on how thick the stems are from the flowers, you can choose to incorporate those by twisting them around the headband, or cutting them off.
-I cut them off
-Simply glue the flowers you'd like onto the headband, giving just enough room for petals to touch between flowers.
-Glue the leaves as "fillers" under/between the flowers.
-Let it cool/dry and voila! You've got a gorgeous flower crown.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
But I am not a pro, you can easily google or check the video and site above for tips :)

Hump Day!

Reviving the Blog

Why?     It's been about 4 years since my last blog post, and who knows if I will be able to upkeep it now. But I have been asked about my style and blog constantly, so voila!

About my Style...     I'm a soon-to-be medical professional with a little bit a style, a little bit of jazz, and a little bit of spice....well maybe a lot of spice. I've always believed that how a person dresses not only shows a lot about their personality; but their outfit tells a story. And everybody has one. Whether it be the stressed out grad student in pajamas and sweats, to the young business professional in the pencil skirt; almost everybody looks in the mirror before they leave the house, and almost everybody chooses what they wear every day, for a reason. As requested, I want to show people that your closet is a blank canvas awaiting for you to play around and create. Mix and match and swirl things up a bit. I also want to show people that no matter how tall, how short, and what your body type, there's always a way to flatter your attributes. Don't be ashamed of what your mama gave ya, flaunt it! Because, "today you are YOU, that is truer than true. There is NO ONE alive who is You-er than You." -Dr. Seuss
